Family Thrift Centers supports the KID Foundation
Since 1984, the Family Thrift Centers have been donating a percentage of all proceeds to the KID Foundation, a Colorado public charity which is the fundraising arm of the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation. All proceeds donated by the KID Foundation to the SPD Foundation are used for SPD research, education and advocacy.
Your donations help children with Sensory Processing Disorder
The SPD Foundation is a world leader in research, education, and advocacy for Sensory Processing Disorder, a neurological condition that disrupts the daily lives of many children and adults. Originally called the KID Foundation, SPDF provides hope and help to individuals and families living with SPD.
The mission of the SPD Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for children with SPD and their families by
- conducting rigorous RESEARCH into the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of SPD
- providing EDUCATION for those with SPD and for families, health care providers, policy makers, and the public
- conducting ADVOCACY for recognition of SPD
