Sensory Parenting Workshops: Join us in 2008

Sensory Parenting Workshops focus on the skills needed to better understand and advocate for your sensational kid. Program highlights include:

Review of:

  • Brain and sensory development
  • How sensory diets can help your child be regulated and can improve development
  • Are the problem symptoms sensory or behavioral?
  • The importance of a supportive community

You will learn:

  • How sensory processing directly affects your child's life
  • To use sensory activities at home to help with schoolwork, transitions and other home activities
  • Parenting strategies to regulate and discipline your child
  • How to build relationships with friends, relatives, teachers and others

You'll take home:

  • Fun activities specifically targeted to help your child and family
  • A Sensory Activity Plan to help your child excel
  • A Sensory Behavior & Discipline Guide that respects sensory needs and fosters appropriate behavior
  • A Sensory Community Map for tools to explain SPD to members of your community

Registration:

Workshops are held on Saturdays from 8:30a - 2:30p. The registration fee of $225 includes registration for up to two family members/immediate caregivers (i.e. parent, step parent, grandparent). The intended audience is for family members/immediate caregivers of child(ren) with Sensory Processing Disorder or other sensory issues. It is not a workshop for professionals or paraprofessionals who work with children with sensory challenges. Please contact us for information about our workshops for professionals - 303.794.1182

*Payment must be made in full at the time of registration. Cancellations will be accepted up to 10 business days prior to the workshop and refund of registration cost minus a $20 cancellation fee will be made. No refunds will be given for cancellations made with less than 10 business days notice.
